Basic Music Theory, 4th edition: Errata
Here are some typographical and graphical errors that have cropped up (and been corrected!) in the 4th edition of Basic Music Theory. Special thanks to Anna Vallentin for suggesting this errata resource, and for spotting some errors. If you find an error not listed on this page, please let me know. Some Dead Links in Early Versions of the 4th Edition
The 4th edition came out before the major website overhaul, so links to the "Book Extras" using "http://is.gd/molibu" are outdated. Use http://www.sol-ut.com/bonus-material.

Boethius's treatise De institutione musica was one of the first musical works to be printed in Venice between the 1491 and 1492. However, it was actually written toward the beginning of the sixth century and helped medieval authors during the ninth century understand Greek music.

closed a parentheses and reworded for clarity. Now reads: Only a few numbers are used for the bottom of the time signature because only a few kinds of notes are usually designated to receive one beat.
